BOCA RATON, Fla. — The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team (2-0, 0-0 GSC) closed out its trip to the GSC/SSC Crossover in emphatic fashion on Saturday, rolling past host Lynn (1-1, 0-0 SSC) 86–54 to complete a 2–0 weekend.
 
THE SERIES 

With Saturday's win, Trevecca levels the all-time series with Lynn at 1–1.
 
THE MATCH 
 
Trevecca set the tone early, turning defense into offense and building a 19–16 lead after the first quarter. Cheyenne Trotter had a hot start scoring eight of Trevecca's points in the opening quarter. 
 
The Trojans continued to apply pressure in the second, using balanced scoring and efficient shooting to edge the frame 19–15 and take a 38–31 advantage into halftime.
 
The third quarter broke the game open. Trevecca outscored Lynn 27–5 coming out of the locker room, clamping down defensively while attacking the paint and the free-throw line (9-10 FT) to stretch the margin to 65–36 after three.
 
The Trojans kept control the rest of the way, adding 21 more points in the fourth and answering every Lynn push to secure the 86–54 win and a sweep of the crossover.
 
THE TEAM
 
Trevecca shot 50.8% from the field (30-for-59), 43.5% from three-point range (10-for-23), and 88.9% at the line (16-for-18).
 
Lynn finished 30.5% from the floor (18-for-59), 15.4% from three (4-for-26), and 53.8% at the stripe (14-for-26).
 
The Trojans owned the glass with a 43–27 rebounding edge and turned in a strong night in the paint and on the offensive boards, totaling 38 points in the paint, 21 second-chance points, 10 fast-break points, and 18 points off turnovers. Trevecca's bench added 17 points.
 
THE PLAYERS
 
Cheyenne Trotter powered the Trojans with a dominant double-double, posting 25 points and 13 rebounds on 9-for-13 shooting while going a perfect 7-for-7 from the foul line.
 
Jordan Gillies followed with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, knocking down three triples (5-for-13 FG, 3-for-5 3PT, 2-for-3 FT).
 
Tatum Shaw added 14 points, shooting 5-for-7 from the field and 4-for-6 from beyond the arc, and grabbing 3 rebounds.
 
Brianna Burgess turned in a strong all-around effort with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals (4-for-8 FG, 2-for-5 3PT).
