MEMPHIS – The Trevecca Nazarene University cross country teams competed for the second time this season at the Rhodes Invitational, their first trip to the event since 2018. Â

The women's team finished tenth (of 19). They came in ahead of two Gulf South foes (Christian Brothers and Delta State) and behind two (Mississippi College and Union).

The men finished tenth (of 18). Joshua Novotny led the men's team, finishing 24th of 187 finishers. Novotny, a freshman from Pleasant View, Tenn., is the second freshmen to be the low finisher for the Trojans this season in as many meets.Â

It is the final tune-up before next weekend's annual Michael Pretorious Invitational (DETAILS) hosted by Trevecca at the Vaughn's Gap Course at Percy Warner Park in Nashville.Â

The team produced an average time of 25:14. There were four Trojans with a PR for the women.Â

The men averaged 27:19 over the 8K course. Thirteen Trojans recorded a new PR today for the men. The men's team average was faster than new GSC foe Christian Brothers.
