NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University sophomore defender Max Titterington has been named the Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Week after an outstanding performance in the Trojans' 1-0 victory over former G-MAC rival Cedarville.

As the Trojans gear up for their GSC debut this Friday, they hosted Cedarville, a team that has proven to be a tough matchup historically for the Trojans. Titterington's impressive display in defense helped secure a clean sheet, and his contribution to the attack sealed his stellar performance. 

In the 15th minute, Titterington delivered a perfectly placed cross that found Daniel Shiel, who headed it home for the game's only goal, securing the Trojans' first victory of the season.

Titterington has emerged as a wildcard in the defensive block for the Trojans, demonstrating versatility by shifting between center back, fullback, and even midfield roles. His adaptability will be crucial as the Trojans look to build on their momentum and start their Gulf South Conference campaign strong when they face the University of Alabama Huntsville this Friday at 7:00 p.m.
