NORTH CANTON, Ohio – The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team (17-12, 11-4 Great Midwest) opened a four-game series with Walsh University (15-10, 8-4 Great Midwest), splitting a pair of games at Biery Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Trevecca leads the all-time series with Walsh, 9-6, having won two of the last three games.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
Walsh jumped out to an early three-run lead in the first off of a three-run homer. Both sides added a run in the fifth, Trevecca received a
Roland Ryan solo shot while the Cavaliers picked up a run off of a sacrifice fly. Another solo home run in the seventh gave Walsh a 5-1 lead which was cut in half by the Trojans' two-run eighth inning. With two outs in the ninth, the Trojans tied the game behind a solo home run from
Carter Warner and an error by the second baseman. A triple and a sacrifice fly pushed the Trojans ahead 7-5 in the tenth and in the bottom of the frame, Trevecca closed the door for the one-run win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE – GAME ONE
* Seven Trojans collected at least one hit with four collecting multi-hit games.
* Haven Mangrum went 3-5 with an RBI.
* Carter Warner was 3-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
* Joey Parliment went 2-5.
* Caleb Marks started and went 6.1 innings, allowing nine hits while striking out four.
Patrick Green (1-0) got the win by tossing 2.1 innings of relief work and striking out one.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
Trevecca scored first and twice in the second inning off an RBI double from
Josh Griffin. A double play allowed a third run to score for Trevecca in the third and the Trojans added two more in the fifth to take a 5-0 lead. Walsh went on to score the next six runs, though, one in the bottom of the sixth and a five run seventh inning allowed the hosts a walk-off win.

* Joey Parliment was 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
* Haven Mangrum went 2-4.
* Josh Griffin was 1-3 with two RBIs.
* Spencer Wilkins started and went six innings, striking out eight, allowing six hits and just one run.
James Dickson (5-1) took his first loss of the season coming off in relief, throwing 0.2 innings but allowing four earned runs.
