NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team (11-9, 4-2 Great Midwest) opened the four-game series with Malone University (3-17, 0-7 Great Midwest), taking both games at Jackson Field on Friday.

Trevecca opened the scoring in the bottom of the first when Roland Ryan hit a single through the left side to plate Joey Parliment. With one gone in the third, the Trojans doubled their lead with a fly out to center field which allowed Carter Warner a pass to home. Another RBI single, a double by Cole McCallum  and a sacrifice fly pushed the Trojans lead to 5-0 after eight innings complete as Trevecca shutout the Pioneers in game one.
