Trevecca Softball | Trojans Split With Panthers

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (19-9, 3-1 Great Midwest) split a pair of games with Ohio Dominican University (12-4, 1-1 Great Midwest) at the Panther Softball Field on Saturday.

Since 2006, the Trojans and Panthers have split all 24 games played.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GM 1: ODU 4, TNU 3
Combined there were a total of four base runners through the first three innings and just two hits, both by the Trojans. Ohio Dominican broke through the defensive struggle in the fourth with an RBI bunt single. After going quietly in the fifth, the Trojans bats erupted for three runs in the sixth. Kendall Andrews led the inning off with a solo home run and was matched by Sarah Nicolson who smashed a two-run shot to give Trevecca a 3-1 lead. The Panthers tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom half of the inning off an error and an RBI groundout.

Despite an Ashlan Sensing single in the top of the seventh, the Trojans were retired. With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Ohio Dominican walked it off with an RBI single through the left side with the bases loaded to pick up the win.
