COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team (12-7, 8-4 G-MAC) defeated Ohio Dominican University (6-15, 3-10 G-MAC), 101-80, on Saturday afternoon in Alumni Hall.

The Trojans have beaten the Panthers in back-to-back meetings but trail the all-time series with the Panthers 7-5.

In the win, Trevecca collected a season-high 17 steals.

The Trojans scored 100+ points for just the tenth time since joining the NCAA ranks and the second time this season. Trevecca scored a season-high 104 points versus Lake Erie earlier this season.

BREAKING IT DOWN
Ohio Dominican jumped out to a quick 8-2 lead in the opening minutes of the quarter. With 7:11 to go, the Trojans started a 14-0 run and never relinquished the lead from there. In fact, at the 7:11 mark, the Trojans only surrendered eight more points the rest of the quarter to lead 25-16 after the first quarter.

In the second quarter, the Trojans matched their season-high of 32 points behind 10 points from Keeley Carter to hold a 57-38 lead at halftime. The Trojans recently produced a 32-point effort in the first quarter versus Lake Erie on 1-27-24.

The third quarter Trevecca stretched its 19-point lead into 28 the defensive minded Trojans forced four steals in the quarter.

The Panthers outscored the Trojans in the fourth, the only frame the hosts did so. Brianna Burgess's 3-pointer pushed Trevecca past 100 points at the 1:46 mark. The Trojans won 101-80.

KEY PLAYERS
Keeley Carter collected a team-high 31 points and finished off the double-double with 11 rebounds. Carter produced a season-high four steals and had three assists. Faith Wilken had 21 points and four rebounds.

TEAM TIME
Trevecca shot 51.5% from the field and shot 4-12 (33.3%) from deep. The Trojans shot 27-31 (84.4%) at the free-throw line. Trevecca grabbed four more rebounds than Ohio Dominican (37-33) and more than doubled the hosts in steals (17-8).
