NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team (16-7, 12-4 G-MAC) extended its winnings streak to eight by beating Tiffin University (4-21, 2-15 G-MAC), 85-44, on Saturday afternoon in Trojan Fieldhouse.
The Trojans are currently on a four-game winning streak against the Dragons having swept both games this season. Trevecca leads the all-time series 8-2 which began during the 2018-19 season when Tiffin joined the G-MAC.
BREAKING IT DOWN
Keeley Carter and Konner Gambrell shared the scoring responsibilities in the first quarter as Gambrell had six points including the opening basket while Carter accounted for the remaining seven points scored by the Trojans. Trevecca led 13-10 at the end of the first 10 minutes.
The Wilken sisters got involved in the scoring in the second quarter to help stretch the Trevecca lead to 12 at 24-12 after an 11-2 run. Seven different Trojans scored in the frame to push Trevecca's halftime lead to 35-20.
Led by eight points from Gambrell, Trevecca opened the third quarter on an 10-0 run to put the game out of reach. Midway through the quarter the Trojans opened up the game further with an 11-0 run and ended the quarter scoring seven points in a row to lead 65-31.
After surrendering the first basket of the fourth, the Trojans locked in. Carter answered back with a made 3-pointer and the Trojans closed out the Dragons outscoring them by seven in the quarter for the 85-44 win on Senior Day.
KEY PLAYERS
Keeley Carter collected a game-high 30 points to go with 13 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Carter's 30-point effort was her third 30+ point game of the season and her career. Konner Gambrell finished with 20 points and five rebounds with three blocks.

TEAM TIME
Trevecca shot 45.5% from the field and shot 8-19 (42.1%) from deep. The Trojans shot 17-22 (77.3%) at the free-throw line. Trevecca out rebounded Tiffin 46-39 and doubled the visitors up in blocks (8-4), more than doubled them in steals (14-6) and had seven more assists (17-10).

The Trojans visit Walsh University (5-17, 3-13 G-MAC) on Thursday, February 22 at 4:30 p.m.
The Trojans are currently on a three-game winning streak against the Cavaliers having beaten Walsh three times during the 2022-23 season. Trevecca trails the all-time series 7-5 which began during the 2017-18 season when Walsh joined the G-MAC.
