Trevecca Men’s Basketball | Trojans Take Down Dragons on Senior Day

NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (15-9, 10-6 Great Midwest) picked up a win on Senior Day over Tiffin University (15-9, 9-7 Great Midwest), 94-85, on Saturday afternoon in Trojan Fieldhouse.

Tiffin responded with a quick 19-4 run of its own to push ahead right at the end of the half, 47-46.

The Trojans scored the opening six points of the second half to jump right back in the lead, 53-47, before the Dragons scored 11 points, six of which were from Wesley Jordan to take a 58-55 lead with 15:35 to play. Trevecca clawed its way back into the game over the next four minutes to take a 63-62 lead into the under 12 timeout. Page's 3-pointer to give Trevecca a 66-63 lead made way for Jordan to score Tiffin's next seven points to make it a 73-70 game with 6:48 to go. Down the stretch the Trojans locked in defensively not allowing Tiffin much of a chance. The Dragons pulled within three at 83-80 but the Trojans held on for the 94-85 win on Senior Day.
