JACKSON, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (3-8-3, 2-6-3 GSC) battled hard but ultimately fell to Union University (8-4-2, 7-2-2 GSC) with a 2-1 score on Friday evening.
THE SERIES
This match marked the 12th meeting between Union and Trevecca in women's soccer. Union now leads the series 10-2.
THE GAME
Union struck first just three minutes into the game as Rebekah Jackson converted a penalty kick to give the Bulldogs an early 1-0 lead. Trevecca regrouped and kept the score close, heading into halftime down by just one goal.
The Trojans equalized early in the second half when
Katelyn Keogh found the net in the 50th minute with a low left shot, bringing the game to 1-1.
However, Union managed to regain the lead late in the game. In the 85th minute, Lucia Revuelto scored from close range to put the Bulldogs up 2-1, a lead they would hold until the final whistle.

The Trojans will conclude their regular season on the road, facing Christian Brothers University (0-14-1, 0-10-1 GSC) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Trevecca will look to end the season on a high note with a win.
