MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (2-6-3, 1-4-3 GSC) suffered a 3-0 defeat to Montevallo (9-3-1, 8-2 GSC) on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons took control early and never looked back, extending their undefeated all-time record against the Trojans.
THE SERIES
This match marked the fourth meeting between Trevecca and Montevallo in women's soccer, with Montevallo improving to 3-0-1 in the series.
THE GAME
Montevallo struck early, opening the scoring in the 9th minute when Morgan Goehring found Lainey Farabaugh, who gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead.
Montevallo doubled their lead just before halftime, as Shadia Valenzuela scored in the 43rd minute off an assist from Preslee Malavenda, sending the Falcons into the break with a 2-0 advantage.
In the second half, the Trojans' defense held firm for a while, but Montevallo continued to press. Katelynn Kott extended the lead to 3-0 in the 74th minute, finishing off a free kick from Rilee Bradbury. Despite some late chances from the Falcons, Trevecca's goalkeeper
Bailie Fiore made key saves in the final minutes to prevent further damage.

The Trojans will return home to host Mississippi College (6-2-3, 2-2-3 GSC) on Friday, followed by a match against Delta State (2-3-5, 1-2-4 GSC) on Sunday.
