TIFFIN, Ohio – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team (9-7, 5-4 G-MAC) picked up a road win in Great Midwest play at Tiffin University (4-14, 2-8 G-MAC), 64-48, on Saturday afternoon at the Gillmore Student Center.
Trevecca leads the all-time series 7-2 and have won three in a row in the series.
Keeley Carter, who became the NCAA-era all-time leading scorer last year, became just the fifth Trojan all-time to reach 1500 career points. She trails just four NAIA-era players on the all-time scoring table.

KEELEY CARTER | DRAGON SLAYER
Keeley Carter loves to play Tiffin, she's played the Dragons six times in her career with at least 21 points in every outing. The former Miss Tennessee Basketball honoree is averaging 24.67 points per game (148 total) against TU while shooting 55.8% (48-86) from the field, 42.8% (12-28) from three-point range, and 86.9% (40-46) from the foul line.
In her very first game against Tiffin, she scored a career high 25 points and hit the game winner on with an and-one opportunity with seven seconds remaining. She grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double. She set a new career high point mark with 28 in the third meeting with Tiffin and then topped that in her fourth with 29.

BREAKING IT DOWN
Trevecca opened the game with a 7-2 run, but found themselves down 12-11 after a Dragon 9-5 run. It was the first and only time the Dragons led in the game. TNU surged ahead again with a 9-0 run, taking a 20-12 lead with 9:23 to go in the second quarter.
Konnor Gambrell scored eight of the first 20 for the Trojans.

Kor Fornesa Liu had six each. Back-to-back Dragon three-pointers pulled the home team within two (24-22) with 6:35 left in the half.
That is when Trevecca essentially salted the game away, going on a 14-0 run for a 16 point (38-22) lead with 1:33 to go in the half. Trevecca led by 15 (40-25) at the break.
Tiffin got within 15 a couple of times, but could get no closer. Trevecca's largest lead was 21 (59-38 / 5:31 4th).
KEY PLAYERS
Keeley Carter scored 23 with 3-6 shooting from three and 6-7 from the line. Carter added 12 rebounds for the double-double, her fourth of the year and third in her last four games. It is her eighth 20+ game of the year. Also scoring in double figures were

Kor Fornesa Liu grabbed 10 rebounds.
TEAM TIME
Neither team shot well from the field or three-point range. Trevecca shot 34.4% from the field and Tiffin 31.1%. TNU shot 20% from three while TU came in 15.2%. TNU outrebounded the Dragons 48-37. Both teams turned it over 18 times.

Trevecca plays again in a week, hosting Lake Erie College (1-13, 0-9 Great Midwest) on Saturday at 1:00 PM. TNU leads the all-time series 8-2.
