NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (3-4-1, 2-2-1 Great Midwest) beat visiting Northwood University (1-6-1, 1-2-1 Great Midwest), 3-1, at the Trevecca Soccer Complex.
Marlon Grossman scored first for the Trojans, early in the first half at 18:54 on an assist by
Sam Barrionuevo.
Trevecca scored another goal, the eventual game winner, from
Jacob Seiber at 24:49 with an assist from his brother
Ben Seiber.
Just over six minutes later,
Micheal Martey iced the game when he scored at 30:52 on an assist from Marlon Grossman and
Heeseung Yoo. With one goal and one assist, Marlon Grossman had a three-point match, all in the first half.
A foul on Trevecca late in the second half gave the Timberwolves a free penalty kick. Northwoods Wilfredo Galvez Jr. took the penalty shot and hit the right post and the deflection made it just past Trevecca keeper
Adan Gonzalez, spoiling the shutout opportunity.
Adan Gonzalez had five saves on six of the Timberwolves shots on goal. The Timberwolves had four corner kicks to the Trojans seven. Robert Gjelaj had 13 saves on Trevecca's 16 shots on goal.

Trevecca has a week off, they are next in play when they host Lake Erie College (1-3-2, 0-1-2 Great Midwest) next Saturday at 12:00 PM.
