TIFFIN, OHIO – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (1-3-1) took a 2-1 loss to #2 Tiffin University (2-1-0).

Tiffin extends its unbeaten run against Trevecca and has now won all eight matches against the Trojans since joining the Great Midwest in 2018.

Both teams struggled in the first half of the game, the Dragons had five shot attempts and the Trojans had three. The Dragons landed a red card foul for a serious foul at 22:18. The first half ended in a draw 0-0. 

The Dragons got going early in the second half of the game when Theirry Van Den Berg shot a goal from a pass by Zachary Garcia in the first five minutes.

Zachary Garcia gained another assist to Malvin Gblah in the 60th minute mark of the game making the score 2-0. 

The Trojans came out determined in the second half, leading in shot attempts 11-5. Connor Lundy made the first goal for the Trojans in the 87th minute of the game. The Trojans came up short (2-1) at the end of the game.

The Trojans continue Great Midwest play on Saturday, September 16, at Thomas More University (2-2-1). Kickoff with the Saints is set for 11:00 AM (CT) in Crestview Hills, KY. It is the second G-MAC game of the year for the Saints. The Saints are picked eighth in the league.
