NASHVILLE - The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team won its 2023 Trevecca Homecoming exhibition game with Fisk University 78-59 on Saturday before an excited home crowd at the Trojan Fieldhouse.
Trevecca plays Austin Peay State University on Monday in Clarksville at the new F&M Bank Arena. It is the first regular season game for the Govs in their new home.

Brianna Burgess buried a three-pointer to put the Trojans up 11-4. Then Monique Emelifonwu hit a layup for a 14-4 Trojan advantage. The Trojans continued the offensive fireworks and led 26-12 after the first quarter.
Trevecca's offense was strong throughout and second quarter as the team built a 19-point (45-26) lead at the half.
In the third quarter, Trevecca flexed its lead to 24 points (56-32) with 3:56 left in the quarter. The Trojans largest lead was 27 points (75-48) with 2:35 to play in the fourth. Trevecca held on for a 19-point (78-59) win.

Trevecca shot 41% (25-61) from the field, 36.4% (8-22) from three-point range, and 76.9% (20-26) from the foul line. Trevecca had 27 fast break points to six for Fisk. Trevecca hit 5-7 from three in the first quarter and 9-17 from the field.
