NASHVILLE - The Trevecca Nazarene University Women's Soccer team (5-4-4, 5-1-4 Great Midwest) defeated Malone University (5-6-0, 2-6-0 Great Midwest),
3-1, at the TNU Soccer Complex, which resulted in their fifth conference win.
The Great Midwest battle with the Pioneers was goalless until 21:22 when Trevecca's
Allie Torbett scored.
At 35:33,
Katelyn Keogh scored the second goal, giving the Trojans a 2-0 advantage. Trevecca ended the first half on a high note.
Almost instantly in the second half,
Ryann Anderson scored to make the score 3-0 at 47:36. Out of Anderson's five shots, all five were on goal; one of them making it to the back of the net.
At 69:43, assisted by Brynn Mowrer, Sydney Farinacci scored Malone's only goal.
Trevecca had an astounding 30 shots taken tonight, where 14 were shots on goal. Malone took 6 shots, 3 of which were on goal.
Malone's Amelia Henderhan made 11 saves against the Trojans, which is her season high.

Trevecca heads to Walsh University (7-3-1, 5-3) on Thursday, October 19 for a 4:00 PM CST match.
TNU then finishes the string of road matches at Ohio Dominican University (October 21st at 4:30 PM).
