Trevecca Men's Soccer | Lake Erie Evens Season Series with Trojans

NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (3-6, 1-5 Great Midwest) returned to the Hill to face Lake Erie College (2-6-2, 1-4-1 Great Midwest) for the second matchup of the season, and were defeated 5-0 on Thursday night.

THE SERIES

The Trojans control the all-time series with a record of 14-7-1 against Lake Erie. The Trojans took the first meeting this season on September 17th, 3-2.

THE MATCH

Looking to get even for their match against the Trojans just 12 days ago, Lake Erie came out determined to score. They hounded the Trojan defense and scored just 9:43 into the game. Following the goal, the Storm kept their foot on the pedal as they tallied another goal in the 24th minute.

Lake Erie added three more goals in the second half, the first at 54:08 and the second at 54:36 to take a 4-0 lead, then in the 68th minute to make it 5-0.

UP NEXT

Trevecca visits Ashland University (5-3-1, 4-2 Great Midwest) on Saturday at 1:00 p.pm before hosting Walsh (7-1-2, 4-1-1 Great Midwest) next Thursday.
