Box Score NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (6-9, 4-8 Great Midwest) hosted the University of Findlay (8-7-1, 6-6-1 Great Midwest) and won 2-1 on Thursday night.
THE SERIES
The Trojans are now 3-4 against Findlay. Trevecca dropped last season's match 1-0 at Findlay on October 2, 2021.
THE MATCH
Findlay made a strong push early on in the match. Just 7:27 in, they got the first goal of the match. Following the goal, the Trojans began to put pressure on Findlay. They would tie the game at 1-1 at 22:00 when Jonas Grossmann received a pass from Marlon Grossmann and deflected it past the goalkeeper. The Trojans had seven shots to Findlay's three, and they also had the advantage in shots on goal 4-2.
The teams settled in in the second half as both had multiple chances to take the lead. Ben Singer broke the tie in the 71stminute to give the Trojans the 2-1 lead. Findlay would try and tie the game late, but Trojan goalkeeper Adan Gonzalez held firm and denied the Findlay attack, as did the Trojan defense. Trevecca had more shots and shots on goal 13-9 and 7-3, respectively.

Trevecca will face Cedarville (8-6-1, 6-5 Great Midwest) on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Trojan Soccer Complex.
