Box Score Nashville, Tenn. – Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team (1-4, 1-4 Great Midwest picked up its first conference win of the season with a clean sweep of Ohio Valley on the road on Saturday.
The Trojans controlled the opening set, and edged out the Fighting Scots in the next two.

THE SERIES
After the tenth meeting between Trevecca and Ohio Valley, the Trojans now lead the all-time series at 7-3.
THE MATCH
The first set was a tight matchup through the first 20 total points, but the Trojans took a 10-9 lead with a kill by Emma Green assisted by Hannah Borneman and never looked back, outscoring OVU 15-6 down the stretch. Madison Martin had the final three kills of the set.
The Trojans trailed 15-11 in the second set but climbed back to take a 22-19 lead. Green finished off the Scots in the second set with a kill to win 26-24. Trevecca edged out OVU in the final set, 25-22 to bring home the first match win of the season.
TOP PLAYERS
Martin led the Trojans with five kills on a .235 percentage, Austin Baldwin was not far behind with four kills on a .667 percentage. Borneman, Baldwin, and Sara Gruber each registered a service ace in the win.
Ohio Valley's Zulairam Dejesus and Yurianna Gonzales each had four kills for the Scots.
THE TEAM
Trevecca buried 17 kills to OVU's 11, and out-hit the Scots .375 to .244.
WHAT'S NEXT
Trevecca will return home next Friday to host Cedarville, before hitting the road in Great Midwet play at Walsh on February 19 and at Malone on February 20.
