THE SERIES
The University of Findlay now leads the all-time series 4-2.
THE MATCH
In the first half both teams matched shot for shot and save for save. Neither team was able to get a goal in the first half, but both teams traded scoring chances. The Trojans had four shots on goal to the Oilers three in the first period.
The second half continued the tightly contested play. Both the Trojans and the Oilers had high danger scoring chances. Tensions grew as the clean sheet carried deeper into regulations. Two Findlay players were given Yellow Cards and the Trojans received one as well.
The tie ended late in the game when Christian Palushaj headed one past Trevecca goalkeeper Adan Gonzalez with seven minutes remaining in the match.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Trevecca outshoot Findlay 13-10 and a 7-6 advantage in shots on goal.
Findlay goalkeeper Andrew Boulton posted the shutout with seven saves on seven shots.
UP NEXT
The Trojans return home next week for a pair of matches on the Hill. Trevecca hosts Ashland University Eagles (0-4-3, 0-2-2 Great Midwest) on Thursday (10.07) at 7 PM.
The rematch with Tiffin University (2-4-2, 1-2-2 Great Midwest) is on the schedule for Saturday (10.09) at 2:30 PM.
