Despite earning a 2-2 draw with the Bulldogs at the Trojan Soccer Complex to begin last season, Union strengthened their hold on the series as Trevecca now trails 2-12-1 all-time.

THE MATCH
The game's first 15 minutes included all three of the first half's goals … Union struck first with a goal by David Hurtado at 4:13 … five minutes later at Tadg McEvoy (SO/Listowel, Ireland) equalized for the Trojans at 9:21 assisted by Juan Cernas (SO/Smyrna, TN), while later putting Trevecca ahead with his second goal, unassisted, at 15:08 … Trevecca held a 2-1 lead at the break … the Bulldogs maintained their goal-scoring stride with a second-half equalizer at 49:39 off the boot of William Valencia… Gavin Scott scored the game-winning goal for Union in the 61st minute … Union held Trevecca for the final 30 minutes to win 3-2.

WHAT THE RESULT MEANS
*The loss leaves the Trojans at the bottom of the G-MAC table with Ohio Dominican who was defeated 2-0 by Trevecca's next opponent, Bellarmine.

Tadg McEvoy earned top honors with both Trevecca goals off two shots. The defenseman took just one shot all of last season as a freshman.

The Trojans head to Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday to face off against rising Division I opponent Bellarmine University (1-0-0) at 3 PM.
