The Trojans jumped out to an early 12-3 lead in the opening set predominately off Lydia Yonce (SO/Nashville, TN)'s service game … the Trojans extended their 16-7 lead to 20-7 behind two service aces and a kill from Ellie Buffler (FR/Nashville, TN) … the Trojans took the first set 25-11 … Trevecca again took the early advantage in set two when Austyn Baldwin (SO/Kingston Springs, TN) finished off a kill from Chloee McDaniel (FR/Hendersonville, TN) at 8-3 … late in the set the Eagles pulled to within three (21-18) off three consecutive kills from Katherine Koch … the Trojans took the second set 25-20 … after claiming the opening point of the final set, the Eagles led early at 4-3 and 8-6 … from there Trevecca rallied for the next six points to lead 12-8 … the closest the Eagles would get is two at 17-15 … Chloee McDaniel's kill ended the set and the match … the Trojans won the third and final set, 25-18.

Ellie Buffler recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs. The outside hitter collected four the teams five service aces and held a hitting percentage of .333.

The Trojans and Panthers will meet for the 18th time all-time with Trevecca looking for its first win in four tries. The Trojans won the previous five tilts before the Panthers winning streak started in 2017.
