Both teams traded leads early the matches opening set with Trevecca gaining an 7-4 advantage after breaking the tie … a 5-0 run extended the Trojans lead to 19-13 which the Scots could not recover from … TNU won the first set, 25-16 … Trevecca claimed the second sets opening four points … the Trojans managed to take leads of 8-2 before Covenant made the set competitive … the Scots pulled within four at 11-7 but the Trojans maintained their advantage the rest of the set … TNU won the second set, 25-10 … the Trojans struggled early in the third set allowing the Scots to take the first point of a set for the first time … after establishing a lead Covenant won the third set 25-15 … after dropping the third the Trojans found a consistent rhythm and found themselves in control of the fourth set … Trevecca ousted Covenant 25-8 in the fourth.
