NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (4-5-2, 4-4-1 G-MAC) defeated Lake Erie College (4-8, 3-7 G-MAC) in overtime 4-3 in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference match played at Trojan Soccer Complex on Saturday.

Trevecca 4, Lake Erie 3 – OT

The Trojans fell behind early as the Storm scored in the 10th minute. The score would remain 1-0 at halftime. Luis Vital (JR/Springfield, TN) scored in the 48th minute to level the match. Vital's goal was assisted by Carlos Bravo (FR/Smyrna, TN). Ezekiel Ebenezer broke the tie for the Storm in the 55th minute before Ethan Keogh (JR/Athlone, Ireland) scored the first of his two goals in the 66th minute. Reed Coffman (SO/Hendersonville, TN) gave the Trojans the 3-2 lead in the 73rd minute. The Storm would counter with a goal in the 86th minute when Callum Davidson tied the match at 3-3. Ethan Keogh chipped in the game-winning goal in the 99th minute to lift the Trojans to victory.

Ethan Keogh scored two goals including the game-winner for the Trojans … Reed Coffman and Luis Vital also scored for the Trojans … Trojan keeper, Tyler Delgado (SO/Spring Hill, TN) made three saves and got the win. Delgado is now 4-5-2 this season.

Trevecca had 31 shots, seven of which were on goal ... Lake Erie players combined for 10 shots of which six were on goal ... TNU had seven corners ... it is the first meeting between the two programs in men's soccer 

WHAT'S NEXT

Trevecca will be back at Trojan Soccer Complex for Great Midwest play on Oct. 7 at 4:30 PM when they collide with conference foe Davis & Elkins College (7-1-2, 6-0-2 G-MAC). This will be the seventh NCAA era meeting between the two teams. Trevecca is 2-4 against Davis & Elkins losing their last three contests.
