Box Score VIENNA, W. Va. - The Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team (4-13, 1-7 G-MAC) won a Great Midwest Athletic Conference game in five sets (17-25, 25-10, 25-23, 13-25, 15-10) against Ohio Valley University (6-11, 2-7 G-MAC) on Thursday in the Snyder Activity Center.

The Trojans began October with their first conference win of the year. The Trojans fell 17-25 in the first set. The Trojans won the second set 25-10 after jumping out to a 3-0 lead. Leading 10-7 the Trojans rallied off seven straight points to take control of set two, 17-7. The Trojans rallied to take the tightly contested third set, 25-23. After establishing a 10-4 lead early in the set, the Trojans fell behind 17-15 before closing the set on a 10-6 run. In set four, the Trojans cut the Fight Scots lead to 10-6 before falling 13-25. The Trojans won the decisive fifth set 15-10 off a kill by Jordan Sprinkle.

Claire Reinthaler led the way for the Trojans with a .346% hitting percentage (11 K, 2 E, 26 TA) while adding a team-high 11 kills … Danielle Moll led the team with 14 digs and, Miranda Bingham had 24 assists …  five Trojans had at least five kills as the team combined for a total of 44.

Trevecca faces conference foe Alderson Broaddus University (5-13, 0-7 G-MAC) in Pepper Pike, OH on Friday, Oct. 6 at 6:00 PM. This will be the seventh meeting between the two teams in the NCAA era. Trevecca is 4-2 against Alderson Broaddus winning their last two games in 2016.
