NASHVILLE, TN - The Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team (4-19, 1-11 G-MAC) lost a non-conference game in three sets (15-25,16-25, 18-25) to University of Southern Indiana (10-14, 3-8 GLVC) on Tuesday in Evansville, IN.

With the score 4-5 Southern Indiana they went on an 11-4 run to break open the set to a score of 16-8 and to take set one 15-25 … the second set USI started with a 12-1 run and won the set 16-25 … Trevecca down 12-13 in the third set another 11-2 run buy Southern Indiana got the set out of reach for the Trojans as they lost the set and match 18-25

TOP TROJANS

Madison Clements led the way for the Trojans with a hitting percentage of .462% ( 6 K,  0 E,   13 TA) … her six kills were tied for a team-high along with Mary Holmberg ... Gracie Pierce led the team with 17 digs while Macee Bingham and Miranda Bingham added eight assists …  six Trojans had at least one kill as the team combined for a total of 22.

As a team, the Trojans hit .120% (22 K,  11 E, 92 TA) … Southern Indiana hit .223% ( 44 K,  19 E,  112 TA) ... Trevecca is now 1-3 all-time versus Southern Indiana. 

WHAT'S NEXT 

Trevecca goes on the road for a non-conference match vs. Kentucky Wesleyan College (10-16, 6-6 G-MAC) at the Woodword Center in Owensboro, KY on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 1:00 PM. It will be the 15th meeting between the two teams in the NCAA era. The Trojans are 7-7 versus the Panthers losing their last game against them on Sept. 12 in five sets at Trojan Fieldhouse.
