Trevecca hosts Salem International University (6-19, 1-6 G-MAC) on Saturday at Noon. Trevecca leads the all-time series with Salem 1-0. It is a match that brings an end to the home schedule for the regular season. Trevecca will finish the regular season at Kentucky Wesleyan College (8-17, 2-6 G-MAC) on Tuesday at 5 PM. Trevecca broke a five match losing streak when they defeated Kentucky Wesleyan in three sets on Wednesday at the Fieldhouse. Trevecca is 3-6 all-time versus the Panthers.

Trevecca coach Jayme Crowley said, "We started all the seniors and we were able to win in three. Katelyn Atkinson (JR/Hermitage, TN) was her usual self with strong play. Amy Bottomlee (SR/Hayden, AL) played well and hit for .333. We are excited about the win and look forward to continuing our season on Saturday against Salem for Homecoming and continuing to build towards the conference championships in Mason, Ohio."

With the win Trevecca evens the all-time series at 2-2 with Ohio Valley University.

The Trojans were 4-6 after their first 10 matches, but are 11-7 since and have found the win column in six of their last nine matches. Trevecca is 6-3 at home this season.

Trevecca's Atkinson, a G-MAC Player of the Year candidate, leads the G-MAC in kills and points. The junior is seventh in digs and blocks. Loren Bennett (SR/Ooltewah, TN), with 977 assists this year, has at least 400 more assists than any other player in the conference this year.

Two Trevecca fresmen are ranked first and second in the conference in blocks. Alex Reuter (FR/Brentwood, TN) leads the conference while Janessa Hodge (FR/Nashville, MI) is second.

In the first set tonight Trevecca scored the first four points and then extended that lead to eight when they pulled ahead 12-4. The Trojans did not let up and eventually won by 11, 25-14.

In the second set OVU led 13-12 in a tight match to that point. With the match tied 14-14 following a Alex Reuter kill that produced a sideout, Trevecca scored seven straight points, including six on the serve of Allison Boe (SR/Murrieta, CA). When it was over Trevecca led 20-14 and went on to win 25-15.

OVU dominated the early portion of the third set with a 7-2 lead. Trevecca turned the tide with four straight points with the serve of Ashleigh Lozier (SO/Murfreesboro, TN). Stephanie Bouchard (SO/Chattanooga, TN), Katelyn Atkinson, and Loren Bennett combined to help serve Trevecca to a 14-12 lead with a 12-5 run. OVU regained the lead at 16-15, but Treveca regained the lead with the serve of Allison Boe and a five-point return on the serve of Ashleigh Lozier as the Trojans pulled ahead 22-17. Trevecca finished off the Fighting Scots 25-21 for the three-set sweep.ÂÂ

Against OVU Katelyn Atkinson had another double-double with 17 kills and 11 digs. The Goodpasture product had a .400 attack percentage. Loren Bennett collected 34 assists and nine digs. Clare Taylor (FR/Milan, TN) had 11 digs and five kills with no errors. Ashley Lozier had nine digs.

As a team Trevecca produced a .310 attack percentage in the first set with 12 kill and three errors in 29 total attacks.ÂÂ
