Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. - The Trevecca volleyball team (10-8, 2-2 G-MAC) bounced back for their sixth win in their last eight matches with a 25-21, 21-25, 17-25, 12-25 victory at Davis & Elkins College (3-13, 1-4 G-MAC) at the McDonnell Center on Saturday.
 
Next for Trevecca is a trip to Oakland City, Ind. For a match with the Mighty Oaks of Oakland City University. Trevecca leads the series 5-2, having won the last four in the series including a four-set win during the Scott Jones Classic at Trevecca in September. 
 
The Trojans are 4-0 versus D&E all-time.

Clare Taylor (FR/Milan, TN) earned the mental toughness awards with the great energy and 15 kills. 
Ashleigh Lozier (SO/Murfreesboro, TN) was the glue who had great defense and pace serves." 
 
Trevecca opened up a 10-4 lead and looked on their way to a first set win. Davis & Elkins rallied to take a 16-15 lead with a 12-5 run. TNU tied the match at 16-16, but the Senators closed the set outscoring the Trojans 9-5 for the win
 
The second set was tight throughout. Trevecca pulled ahead at 10-9 and though D&E tied the match on a couple of occasions, the Trojans never trailed again. 
Katelyn Atkinson (JR/Hermitage, TN) and 
Clare Taylor had seven and five kills respectively in the set. The team hit for .412.
 
The third and fourth sets were all Trevecca. TNU took a 7-1 lead in the third and never allowed the Senators any closer than three the rest of the way for a 25-17 victory. In the fourth set, TNU took a 10-4 lead and never looked back on the way to a 25-12 victory. Trevecca had a .467 attack percentage in the fourth with 16 kills, two errors, in 30 total attacks. 
 
Katelyn Atkinson, 
Clare Taylor, and 
Alex Reuter (FR/Brentwood, TN) all hit double figures in kills with 20, 15, and 11 respectively. Taylor had an unbelievable attack percentage at .520 with just two errors in 25 total attacks. Atkinson (.292) and Reuter (.280) also hit for a high percentage. 
Loren Bennett (SR/Ooltewah, TN) had 46 assists and added seven digs and three kills.
  
Allison Boe (SR/Murrieta, CA) led the way with 17 digs while Taylor and Atkinson had the double-double with 12 and 14 digs respectively. Atkinson added four blocks and two service aces.
