Neither team had a great attack percentage in the second set. It was a tremendous battle as the teams went to extra points before the Trojans won 33-31. There were 16 ties and nine lead changes in the extended set.

The final set was close as well, but Trevecca led most of the way and only trailed once. Covenant took a 2-0 lead, but scored five straight for a 5-2 and never gave up the lead again.

Crowley continued, "When it comes to the team play I am proud of the way they responded in the second set. We were down 22-17 and I called a timeout. I challenged the team to give their max effort over the final points of the set. They did that and more, coming from behind to force extra points and eventually the victory."

Katelyn Atkinson (SO/Hermitage, Tenn.) led Trevecca with 18 kills and a .268 attack percentage. The sophomore added 11 digs for the double-double. Zakia Jackson (JR/Hermitage, Tenn.) added nine kills while Delaney Hearne (JR/San Marcos, Tex.) pitched in eight. Hearne also had a team high five blocks. Loren Bennett (JR/Ooltewah, Tenn.) also had a double-double with 38 assists and 10 digs. Kayleigh Jarrett (SO/Tehachapi, Calif.) had 18 digs to top the team in that category.

"The truth is we didn't play our best tonight and part of that might have been fatigue from the six matches we've played since last Tuesday," said Crowley. "So, we'll take Wednesday off and welcome a break a full week break in our scheduled matches."

"Overall we are pleased with the win, a road win at that, and our sixth win in a row."
