EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Trevecca women's cross country team competed in the NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday at the Angel Mounds near Evansville on Saturday. Caroline Hampton (FR/Brentwood, Tenn.) was not only the top Trojan, but top Great Midwest Athletic Conference finisher, coming in 15th of 210 runners.

Caroline Hampton made the all-region team with her history-making run of 21:30. Coming in 79th overall was Biz Mclendon (SO/Burns, Tenn.) at 23:08. Finishing 100th was Jackie Sendewicz (JR/Spring Hill, Tenn.) in a time of 23:28. Rachel Mudd (SR/Shelbyville, Tenn.) finished in a time of 24:03 for 131st. Willow Moore (SO/Pleasant View, Tenn.) was the final counting runner for Trevecca and finished 139th with a time of 24:07. Lauren Carmody (SO/Brentwood, Tenn.) came in at 24:14 and Sierra Flemming (FR/Warr Acres, Okla.) at 24:22 to round out the Trojan runners.

coach Austin Selby sayd, "When almost all of your team records a personal record, it's a good day. Caroline made history, and the rest of the girls ran out of their minds. It would have been good to place a little higher, but we learned a lot today. Now we turn our attention to getting ready for the indoor and outdoor track seasons."

The team averaged 23:16 and turned in a team-time of 1:56:16. Trevecca was 16th overall and the second G-MAC team, champion Cedarville finished 10th.Â
