Text of Tennessean Article:

Two former All-America athletes will be inducted into the Trevecca Athletic Hall of Fame on Nov. 9 during homecoming weekend.

Ashlie Gilland, a former women's basketball player, and Luke Brown, from the Trojan baseball program, will comprise the Trevecca Hall of Fame class of 2013.

There are now 57 members in the Trevecca Athletic Hall of Fame, which was started in 1993.

Gilland, a 5-foot-10 forward from Madison, played for some of Trevecca's best women's basketball teams, including the 2006 team that won a school record 31 games.

She starred at Hunters Lane, was a two-time NAIA All-American third team selection (2006, 2005) and was voted to the 2005 NAIA national championships All-tournament team.

Gilland also helped lead the program to the NAIA Elite Eight for the first time in 2005, and the team repeated that feat in 2006. She showed her athletic versatility by playing with the Trojan softball team her senior year, a team that advanced to the NAIA Championships as well.

Brown, a 5-10 left-handed pitcher from Dickson, earned NAIA second team All-American honors after leading the NAIA in wins with a 16-1 record in 2007.

The Dickson High School graduate holds the Trevecca record for wins in a season with 16 and finished his career with the third most career wins. His 16 wins helped pace the Trojans to a 44-18-1 record overall and a TranSouth best 21-6 record.

The team was ranked No. 4 during the season, which is the highest ranking in program history.

In 2007 Brown, who is now the pitching coach for the Trojans, was also selected to the NAIA All-Region XI team, All-TranSouth team, and the TranSouth scholar-athlete team.
