Box Score

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Connor Gilmour scored twice within a minute to give Cedarville University (11-2-3, 5-1-1 G-MAC) a 2-0 win over Trevecca Nazarene University (8-7-1, 5-3 G-MAC) Thursday night in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference men's soccer match at Yellow Jacket Field.

Gilmour scored just four seconds into the 61st minute off a rebound and then got by the Trojan defense and shot from 15 yards 50 seconds later for the final tally of the match.

Trevecca looked primed to take an early first half lead as Bruno De Moraes fired five shots with three of those on goal. However, Cedarville goalie Ethan Dewhurst saved the three attempts.

The Trojans would not get any more on-goal attempts the rest of the way.

Matt Raines, Baylor McKay and Jonathan Baskin would provide Trevecca's last attempted shots but to no result in the shutout loss.

Cedarville out-shot TNU 11-2 in the second half and held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Braydon Brown recorded six saves in the loss for the Trojans while Dewhurst collected three saves and secured his ninth shutout of the season.

Trevecca will return to action for its final regular season match as it hosts King University (2-9-2) Oct. 29 for a 7 p.m. contest at the TNU Soccer Complex.
