Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trojan volleyball team (4-1) picked up its second win in four days over Mid-Continent (0-9) Tuesday, knocking off the Cougars 25-23, 20-25, 25-18, 25-17 at Moore Gym.
The Trojans produced a balanced attack, with four different players registering double-digit kills. Freshman
Kirsten Taylor led the way with 14 kills, and added 17 digs. Junior
Jenna Robertson chipped in 13 kills and three block assists, while sophomores
Brittany Eller and Persephone Devereaux added 12 and 10 kills, respectively.
Senior setter
Halley Wiggins notched 43 assists and 17 digs, while fellow senior
Haley White paced the Trojans with 19 digs.
Next up, the Trojans will travel to Lebanon, Tenn., to play in the Cumberland Classic this weekend. On Friday, the Trojans take on Fisk University (0-2) at 12 p.m. and Martin Methodist College (3-2) at 2 p.m. Saturday, Trevecca battles Campbellsville University (0-1) at 1 p.m. and Union (Tenn.) University (2-2) at 5 p.m.
