Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Trojan volleyball team (0-1) opened its season Friday night at the 2nd Annual Scott Jones Classic with a 14-25, 15-25, 23-25 loss to Lindsey Wilson College (5-0) at Moore Gym.
The young Trojans led early in the first set, 4-1, but the Blue Raiders charged back with a 24-10 run to put away the set rather easily. The second set was more of the same, with the Blue Raiders leading from start to finish. Trevecca kept things close in the third set, but were never able to take the lead, and Lindsey Wilson held on for the sweep. ÂÂ

Brittany Eller led the Trojans with eight kills, while junior
Jenna Robertson and freshman
Sarah Ansley added seven apiece. Senior
Halley Wiggins recorded 22 assists, and sophomore
Shelby Sorce led the way in digs with 10.
The Trojans are back in action Saturday at the SJC, with three matches. Trevecca plays Kentucky Christian (2-2) at 9 a.m., Mid-Continent (0-6) at 1 p.m., and Cumberland (5-3) at 5 p.m.
