Union Downs Trevecca 2-0

Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. - The Trevecca men's soccer team (7-8-1, 2-5 TranSouth) saw its 2011 season come to an end with a 2-0 loss at Union University (6-9-1, 3-4) Friday night at the Smith Soccer Complex.

"The guys played with incredible commitment tonight," said Trojan Head Coach Danny Leavy. "We were unlucky with the result, but overall I was pleased with the effort."

The Bulldogs scored both of their goals in the first half. Kemal Gogic gave his team the lead in the 10', scoring off an assist from Alysson Mohl. Less than six minutes later, Mohl scored an unassisted goal to complete the scoring and make it 2-0 at halftime.

The second half was scoreless, as neither team was able to find the back of the net despite several chances and shots on goal.

Union had a 22-9 advantage in shots, including 14-6 in shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper Hayden Coffman made 10 saves in the final start of his career. Bulldog keeper James Landham stopped all six shots on goal that he faced.

"It was a pleasure to coach these men tonight," added Coach Leavy. "We didn't get the win, but we've had a solid season and I'm proud of each and every one of them."
