Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca's men's soccer team (1-2, 0-1) returned to action on Tuesday night, when the Union University
Bulldogs (3-2, 1-0) came to Nashville to open the TranSouth season. The Bulldogs prevailed 2-1.
Union's Michael Bruce
broke a scoreless in the 37th minute of the game. Union would hold a
1-0
lead at the half. Union added a goal at 62:10 when Marcos Matos got one
to go past Hayden Coffman. Coffman is the reigning TranSouth Defender
of the
Week. Trevecca got on the board at 78:32 when Caylan Goodman knocked in
a goal off of a deflection.
Trevecca's match with
Brescia (originally scheduled for September 3) has been ruled a forfeit
by the
NAIA. Brescia didn't notify Trevecca early enough that they would be
cancelling their season. The match will be considered a 1-0 win for the
Trojans.
