TREVECCA NOTES

2021-22

The freshman played in 10 matches and 26 sets this season ... the outside hitter collected 18 kills with six digs and seven block assists ... produced 21.5 points on the year.

HIGH SCHOOL NOTES

Morgan McMurray, a 6’1'' outside hitter from Anderson County, joins the Trojans this fall after competing as a four-year varsity starter for Anderson County High in east Tennessee.  Her accolades include Freshman of the Year (2017), 1st Team All-District (2017, 2018), All-Region Team (2018, 2019, 2020), and District MVP (2019, 2020).  Morgan helped lead her team to the TSSAA State Tournament four years in a row including a State Runner-Up finish in 2020.  She was named a TSWA All-State Player in 2019 and a Five Star Preps First Team Player and Prep Xtra Tennessee Player of the Week in 2020.  

 A standout for her nationally ranked volleyball club, K2, Morgan was named to the JVA Watchlist in 2019 and 2020.  “Morgan is an incredible player not only because of what she can do on the volleyball court but also her ability to compete under pressure. Her work ethic, mental toughness, and love for the game is truly superior. She is a fantastic teammate and establishes an amazing rapport with her various teammates. McMurray excelled in the classroom as a 4.0 Honors student and member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, French Club, and Elite 100.  While at Trevecca, Morgan plans to major in Business.  She is the daughter of Elizabeth and Jason McMurray.
