Earned the TSSAA Mr. Basketball Award while playing at Cannon County High School ... is the all-time leading scorer in Cannon County history with 2,130 career points ... accolades include passing his father, Russell, who was a 1,000-point scorer (1,073), on the all-time list ... broke the school career-scoring record (1,719 Justin Davenport/not related) on a night he scored a school single-game record 52 points and also school-record 22-point in one quarter ... is the only Lion (male) to surpass 2,000 career points ... averaged 30.4 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals per game as a senior ... Cannon County retired his jersey in the fall of 2022.
