Daniel Langeland joins the Trojan coaching staff, in the fall of 2023, with ten years of coaching experience. Langeland will work extensively with the Regional Team (JV) as well as the varsity strength and conditioning program. He will also spearhead the team building activities, monitor academics, and other areas for the varsity and regional teams. 

Coach Karen Booker said of Dan joining the program, “We are excited Dan has joined us all the way from Michigan to be a part of this staff. He has a great demeanor, is strong in his faith, and is a communicator. He is eager to learn and adapt to coaching on the collegiate level. He brings successes along with his coaching experience, and we look forward to all that he will bring as a coach and as a person to help make our program better.”

He has five seasons of experience as a head coach on the high school level at Eaton Rapids High School in Michigan. He led his teams to the district finals in three of the five seasons. Three of his players moved on to play basketball collegiately and another five collegiately in other sports. 

Langeland has another five years of experience at the sub-varsity level including one of his teams going undefeated at the sub-varsity (18-0) level.

In addition to basketball, Langeland has experience coaching soccer, softball, and tennis. 

In 2019, while serving as the head varsity tennis coach at Leslie High School (Michigan), Langeland was named Regional Tennis Coach of the Year.

Langeland and his wife, Christie, and daughter, Katelynn, reside in Columbia, Tennessee.
