Played for coach Paul Redgate at Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg, VA ... averaged 9.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and collected 1.1 steals per game as a junior ... shot 70% from the free-throw line, 48% from the field, and 40% from 3-point range ... was a four-year varsity player including three years as the captain.

His parents are Ritchie and Julie McKay. Gabriel has a sister (Ellie) and brother (Luke). Ritchie is the head men's basketball coach at Liberty University.
