HIGH SCHOOL NOTES
Played for Coach Larry Nesbitt at CPA ... posted a .374 career batting average, with 114 hits, 24 doubles, six triples, one home run, and 87 RBI ... is a three-time all-district performer, earned Super Sophomore honors after both his freshman and sophomore seasons, was named to the TBCA Region 5 & 6 Showcase Team as a sophomore, and was a member of the TBCA Border Wars Team as a sophomore 
 
Coach Schmalz says: "Houston will be a terrific college baseball player. He has a very unique combination of skill, toughness, and character that is very hard to find. He has terrific bat speed and a very advanced hitting approach for a high school kid. We can't wait to get Houston here."
