Jeren Kendall joined the Trevecca coaching staff prior to the 2025 season. Kendall, a three-year standout at Vanderbilt from 2015-17, returns to Middle Tennessee after retiring from the game in 2023.
At Vanderbilt, Kendall was named a Freshman All-American and recognized as National and SEC Player of the Week twice. Kendal was a member of the 2016 USA Collegiate National Team and won the Rawlings Golden Glove Award.
Professionally, Kendall was drafted in the 1st round (23rd overall) by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2017 after his junior season with the Commodores. Kendall was named Most Athletic in the Dodgers organization each year until his retirement in 2023.
Prior to his professional and collegiate playing days, Kendall excelled at Holmen High School in Wisconsin. He was named Wisconsin Player of the Year in both 2013 and 2014 in addition to being recognized as the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2014, his senior season.
Kendall was a first-team All-Conference selection and helped Holmen High School secure conference titles from 2012 through the 2014 seasons. He also earned six letters in baseball and hockey and was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 30th round of the 2014 MLB Draft before deciding to play at Vanderbilt.
