Bradyn Kail joined the Trojan coaching staff before the 2024 season as the pitching coach for Trojan head coach Chase Sain.
Kail joins the Purple and White after spending the previous season with the Pioneers of Volunteer State Community College. There he served on the staff of legendary head coach Jim McGuire. The 2023 season gave Kail his first chance to lead a pitching staff as the pitching coach. The Volunteers went 34-21 and produced the top conference earned run average in the TCCAA.
Before his move to Vol State, he served as a Volunteer Assistant with the Governor's baseball program at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. He served head coach Travis Janssen as the outfielder's coach and worked the bases at first during the Governors 2022 campaign.
In the Summer of 2022, Kail coached with the Staunton Braves of the Valley Baseball League. It was a return for him to one of his stops as a player. He was a Braves relief pitcher in 2018.
Kail started his coaching career in the Fall of 2021 at Charleston Southern University. He served as the Graduate Assistant Coach for former CSU Pitching Coach Anthony Izzio .
Kail finished his collegiate career with a grad transfer season (2021 season) at NCAA Division I Charleston Southern University. He played for coach Marc MacMillan. As a relief pitcher, Kail paced the team in appearances (22), fourth best in the Big South Conference.
He started his collegiate career with four years (2016-2020) at California University of Pa.
His 2019 season with the Vulcans was one for the record books. He went 9-1 in just 11 starts, grabbing the second most wins in the Atlantic Region. Kail finished third in the conference in walks allowed per nine innings (2.06). His nine (9) wins are tied for second for single-season wins in the Cal Baseball record book.
He played high school baseball at Loyola Blakefield under head coach Jim Crowley. Kail was a two-year letter winner.
He is the son of Randy and Becki Kail and has one brother.
He was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland.
He earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology.
