NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (26-14, 14-13 GSC) opened its weekend series against Alabama Huntsville (25-19, 17-11 GSC) this afternoon at the Trevecca Softball Complex.
The Trojans opened strong with a 3-2 walk-off win in 10 innings, but fell just short in game two, dropping a 6-5 contest to the Chargers.

After today's doubleheader, Trevecca leads the all-time series in softball vs UAH, 4-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
TNU 3, UAH 2
Trevecca walked it off in extra innings thanks to clutch hitting from
Shay Hollingsworth and
Sarah Kinderdine, who delivered back-to-back RBI singles in the 10th to lift the Trojans.
Ashlan Sensing earned her 20th win of the year, going the distance with 10 shutout innings, allowing just six hits and striking out seven.
CIRCLE AND BOX NOTES
- Ashlan Sensing (W, 20-6) was dominant in the circle, tossing a complete 10.0-inning game with seven strikeouts, no walks, and only one earned run.
- Sensing also went 3-for-5 at the plate and scored the game-winning run.
- Sarah Kinderdine and Shay Hollingsworth each had an RBI in the 10th-inning rally.
- Trevecca committed no errors and outhit UAH 7-6.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
TNU 5, UAH 6
The Trojans erased a 4-0 deficit behind a two-run homer from
Annabelle Ellis in the fifth and a sac fly by
Katie Brooks in the sixth to take a 5-4 lead. However, UAH came through with a two-run single in the seventh to retake the lead and secure the game two win.
