NASHVILLE – The Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) announced its 2024-25 South Region Men's Basketball All-Region Teams and Trevecca Nazarene University guard Jalen Page made the second team. Page was a member of the D2CCA Midwest Region second team last year.
Page is a significant part of the momentum that turned a two-win 2022-23 Trojan team that averaged a NCAA Division II low 55.7 points per game the year before his arrival on the Hill, to a team that won 35 games over his two seasons wearing the Purple and White. He also led the team to its conference post season both season. The offense has flourished in the top three in the conference each year with Page leading the way in points per game each season.
Page has claimed at least four Trevecca NCAA DII era records during his two seasons.
He holds the season (21.7) and career (20.6) points per game record. Additionally, he surpassed the 1,000 career points mark in less than two seasons at Trevecca.
Additionally, he put his name on the career three-point percentage (41.8) and free throw percentage (82.3) records.
After being picked to finish 11th of 13 teams in the preseason coaches' poll, the Trojans finished sixth in the final standings in his first season, in the G-MAC. They finished fourth in the Gulf South after being picked to finish tenth in the GSC preseason poll this year.
Jalen Page, who made the Great Midwest First Team All-conference as a junior last year, added Gulf South Conference First Team honors this year.
He's earned a combined four G-MAC or GSC Player of the Week honors as well. He also was tipped for the state-wide all-division Tennessee Sports Writer's Association Player of the Week award once last season.
Page, a transfer from Lee University, was second in the Gulf South in scoring this season.
Page, a product of Murfreesboro Blackman High School, who helped lead the team to a NCAA DII era 19 wins, averaged 21.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game this season.
Page, who played for standout prep coach Barry Wortman at Blackman, shot 46.6% from the field, 42.5% from three-point range, and 84.5% from the foul line. He added 29 steals to his totals.
He finished his Trevecca career with 1,132 points, 324 rebounds, 147 assist, 74 steals, and made 159 three-pointers in just two seasons.
Sports information directors from NCAA Division II South Region schools and conferences selected the D2CCA All-Region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later in the month.
The NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association sponsored the All-Region teams.
