ALBERTVILLE, Ala. – The No. 17 Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (8-0) continued the Young Harris College hosted Charger Chillout on Saturday with a pair of wins.
Trevecca defeated Georgia Southwestern State University (2-4) 3-1 and finished the day off with a win against Lincoln Memorial University (4-2) 4-1.
SERIES HISTORY/NOTES
Trevecca and GSSU had net met in softball before today's game while Trevecca slims the LMU all-time edge down to 5-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
TNU 3, GSSU 1
Once again, just like yesterday's win over Shorter only three total frames featured any runs as both teams combined for nine hits. Trevecca pushed a pair of runs past home first. In the top of the fifth,

Annabelle Ellis sacrifice fly brought in Summers. The Trojans stretched their lead to three in the sixth after Summers scored again, this time off a wild pitch. The shutout came up just short as with two outs, a single left field brought in GSSU's only run of the game, but it was not enough as Trevecca won, 3-1.

Haylie Brooks (1-0) started and picked up her first win of the season, going 6.1 innings. She fanned two, with five hits and just a single earned run on the outing.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
TNU 4, LMU 1
LMU got on the board quickly in the first. The second batter sent a ball over the fence which ended up being the only run of the day for the Railsplitters. In total, LMU had just three hits in the game as well. The first five Trojans reached safely in the bottom of the first, and it was 2-1 Trevecca after one complete. Just one over the minimum was in play for the next two innings on both sides before Trevecca poked another run home in the fourth.

Kylie Chetakian scored on the play. The Railsplitters managed just one hit the rest of the way as the Trojans won, 4-1.
