HOW IT HAPPENED
TNU 2, UM 0
In a game that featured a combined eight hits, the pitchers found themselves settled in with ease. So much, in fact, that Trojan starter
Ashlan Sensing produced the first hit of the game. She led the bottom of the second off with a single but with nothing else to show, the Trojans were retired in order. Despite a lead-off triple in the third, the Faclons did not manage to score. Sensing dug-in the circle and struck out three to get out of the jam.
Trevecca got lead-off singles in both the third and fourth innings before finally breaking through in the fifth.
Shay Hollingsworth singled in the first run before Sensing smashed a single up the middle to make it 2-0. Sensing retired the side in the sixth and got out a jam in the seventh to hold on for the win.
