NASHVILLE - First year Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball coach, Nate Moran, announces the return of the Robert Garrett Classic this season. The RGC returns to Trojan Fieldhouse November 15-16, 2025. Since 2004, when the Trojans host a tournament or classic, they honor the memory of the Trojan alum who passed away in an auto accident while he was returning to campus at the start of his senior season (story).
The 2025 Robert Garrett comes following the Trojans Homecoming game versus Sewanee on Saturday, November 8 at 3:30 PM.
Trevecca Visitors Guide
The Robert Garrett Classic serves at the regular season opener as the Trojans face a pair of non-conference opponents. First, the Trojans take on Palm Bach Atlantic University on Saturday, November 15 at 2:00 PM. The Trojans and Sailfish played a thrilling last year in the conference crossover hosted by PBA in West Palm Beach, Fla. The second game of the RGC is against Embry Riddle Aeronautical University at 4:00 PM on Sunday, Nov. 16. Trevecca beat ERAU in the game also at the conference crossover at PBA. The meetings with PGA and ERAU are the only meetings with Trevecca in men's basketball all-time.

Robert Garrett Sr. and family are leading the organization connecting with Rob G's to help bring them to the games over the weekend.
In his three-year career as a Trojan, Rob Garrett totaled 236 career points and 133 career rebounds. He also shot 53.7% from the field and 68.3% from the free throw line. Rob's best year came during the 2003-04 season, when he played in all 31 games for the Trojans as a forward and started in 19 games, scoring 213 points and grabbing 101 rebounds on the season, while averaging 24.3 minutes of playing time per game. Garrett also swiped 38 steals and dished out 57 assists on the season.
