CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The (RV) Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (39-11, 21-3 Great Midwest) began the final weekend of the regular season with a sweep of Thomas More University (14-34, 8-16 Great Midwest) at the Thomas More Softball Field on Friday afternoon.
The Trojans' 11 game winning streak was snapped in game two of the Findlay series despite having won 19 of their last 20 and 23 of their last 25 games.
The Trojans completed their 16-game home season by going an impressive 15-1. Only three of the 16 games at the Trevecca Softball Complex were decided by a single run of which the Trojans took two.
TNU and TMU have never met in softball. This is the first year in the G-MAC for the Saints.
HOW IT HAPPENED

The Trojans quickly jumped on the board in the first inning with a three-run frame. Trevecca got a pair of runs before recording an out as Ashlan Sensing doubled in the opening run while Annabelle Ellis hit a single to center to score another. Sensing later came home off a fielder's choice. Trevecca added four more runs in the fourth off a two-run single up the middle off the bat of Malone Thrift and a Kendall Andrews two-run home run. Thomas More got a home run of its own in the bottom of the fourth and one more run in the sixth but could not put any other dents in the Trevecca defense.

That RBI went on to be the winning run as the Trojans added three more for good measure in the fifth inning.
