HOW IT HAPPENED
GM 1: TNU 10, NU 2 – F/5
The Trojans jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead after two innings scoring a pair in both frames.
Kyleigh Burgett touched home in the fifth after a fly out in foul territory to right field allowed her enough time to score. In the sixth, the Trojans doubled their lead with a five-run inning. A two-run double by Burgett got things started and she later scored off an error by the left fielder.
Malone Thrift's two run single closed the scoring for the visitors. Northwood received a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth, but it was not enough to overcome the Trojan lead.
